Because of its excellent bond strength, chemical resistance and excellent physical and mechanical properties, epoxy coating can provide excellent corrosion resistance. At the same time, due to the poor UV aging resistance of epoxy resin, it will cause the damage of the paint film in outdoor applications due to the long-time exposure of sunlight, resulting in the problems of cracking and pulverization.






Some organosilicon amino resins can be crosslinked and cured with epoxy resin due to their good weatherability, which can give epoxy coating unique weatherability.






Curable at room temperature






Silres ® hp2000, hp2020 is a kind of silicone resin containing amino functional groups (see Figure 1, 2 for details). Amino functional groups are connected with silicone resin through silicon carbon bond. This special structure ensures that the resin can be used as a catalyst in the condensation reaction of siloxane group or as a curing group with reaction activity.

At the same time, the special designed resin structure also ensures that at room temperature, the silicone resin can react with the epoxy group in the oxygen resin in a short time to form a dense and stable polymer coating.






Advantages of silres ® hp2000, hp2020






The epoxy polysiloxane coating with silres ® hp2000 and hp2020 not only has high hardness, excellent long-term gloss stability, excellent solvent resistance, but also has low VOC content. The VOC content in the paint formulation is usually only 100-250g / L (depending on the specific paint viscosity requirements). This single coating combines the performance advantages of traditional epoxy coating and the double advantages of isocyanate cured Pu surface coating with good weather resistance.






In order to meet the requirements of anti-corrosion grade C4, single coat epoxy polysiloxane system can replace the previous double coat system in terms of performance. The popularization of this application can greatly reduce labor cost and construction time.

With silres ® hp2000 and hp2020, the three-layer surface coating system can also meet the requirements of the highest anti-corrosion grade c5-i and c5-m.






The epoxy polysiloxane coating with silres ® hp2000 and hp2020 does not need to add isocyanate or polyurethane group, which can improve the harmful construction environment of construction personnel to a certain extent.
